Portraits by Daniel Stolle
Every now and then, I am asked to make portraits. The depicted people are authors, chefs, managers, soccer players, philosophers and anything in between. I do not consider myself a very good portraitist. I struggle with likeness. Nevertheless I sketch the subjects a lot in hope of good results. Also my colors are a brute force approach to glean some characteristics from the person. These drawings have been published in Die Zeit, El Malpensante, Manager Magazin and others.
